Our ceremonial practices are based on methods and principles of ritual which transcend any one mythology. However, we maintain that a diverse study of cultural beliefs is necessary for a profession of wonder-working. While we are oath bound to be maieutic to religiosity: apophatically wondering around the explicable nature or name of Divinity, we must engage usefully with different vernaculars of faith. We do not qualm or proselytize; our goal is to foster philosophy and self-inquiry. We recognize at base the necessity of sidestepping intractable arguments, largley about language itself, as we posit true knowledge to be beyond the realm words to address. Apart from serving in spiritual counsel, our use of ritual dramaturgy aims to demonstrate how art affects belief, often to uncanny and miraculous result.
Initiations into the Guild are organized as three degrees of training within four scholastic orders, any of which may be freely elected by the aspirant after probation. The first degree of Acolyte is largely one of study and missives; the second degree of Artifex is comprised of practice and apprenticeship; the third degree of Magister is based upon testing and mastery. All students are provided a personal mentor and a dedicated preceptor within their respective order. Any graduating student who shows sufficient aptitude or interest may themselves become a Mystagogue of the Rite (i.e. teacher of the curriculum). The title of Thaumaturge is awarded to those who complete the requisite training of all orders within the College. Distinct ordinations are awarded within each path; each order has a specific function in group rites.
Some fundamental courses across the four orders are as follows...
Symbol Systems: cyphering and languages for chant and secrecy
Anatomical Physica: subtle body correspondences and purification
Ineffable Names: utilization of vowels and holy vociferations
Magic Squares: foundational maths behind the talismanic art
Labyrinths: perambulation rites and geomantic figures
Evocation: overview of historical sources and technique
Advanced classes of the White Rite understand the many mysteries witnessed by the two renaissance philosophers John Dee & Sir Edward Kelley to be events heralding the closing of the Book of Revelations, ending all schisms of the parochial epoch and beginning a cosmopolitan age of sciences, which are now rectifying the mythic confusion of Babel in a myriad ways, wholly secular and otherwise.
For just as the sciences of early civilization are fabled to have been taught by angels enshrined within the Books of Enoch, we recognize that, since its utterance, John Dee’s prayer for humanity has been miraculously answered in the modern age: via the ongoing discovery of “accurate knowledge and understanding of secrets and wonders concerning all creatures, their nature, properties, and best use, as necessary science for us mortals...”
Such was his earnest desire for true philsophy, to which the angels replied:
"Thou shalt be glutted, yea filled, yea thou shalt swell and be puffed up with the perfect knowledge of God’s mysteries in His mercies. ... Thou desirest use, I teach use, and yet the art is to the further understanding of all sciences that are past, present, or yet to come." ~ Saturday, 27/11/1582 & "These things and mysteries are your parts and portions sealed, as well by your own knowledge, as the fruit of your intercession: the knowledge of God's creatures. I will open, teach, and uncover the secrets of that speech, that holy mystery, to the intent that the Cabala of Nature, in voice, substance of body, and measure in all parts, may be known. For there is nothing secret but it shall be revealed, and the Son of God shall be known in power, and shall establish a kingdom with righteousness in the earth... so that this Doctrine, the mysteries of the word of God, sealed from the beginning, is now delivered unto you for that reformation which must be in one unity established unto the end." ~ Tuesday, 21/2/1584 & "Out of this shall be restored the holy books which have perished even from the beginning, from the first that lived; and herein shall be deciphered perfect truth from imperfect falsehood, true religion from false and damnable errors, with all arts which are proper to the use of humanity, the first and sanctified perfection." ~ Sunday, 15/5/1583
In study of these prophecies and those which followed, we must grapple with the nightfall of the Church and the fledging cult of the Dragon, which now abides within it like a brood parasite. By providence of their dire context, we hold these 'Enochian' revelations to be an expedient remedy suited for this age. In service to the exigency of peace, the guild regularly coordinates invitations to angels said to rule over warring principalities and the realms of governance. "There are kings, false and unjust, whose power I have subverted and destroyed; so shalt thou." ~ proclaimed by the Prince of the Angelic Regent, 25/11/1582
